The Linsider Program is a program for developers and users who want to be involved in Linspire and contribute to code and to the operating system. We offer different levels of the Insider program.
Free Account
This allows you to contribute documentation and artwork. This also allows you to submit bugs, open support tickets, and contribute to security errata. It also gives you advance notice to when major releases are to be released. Please submit all submissions to our design team
Entry Level Linsider Account
Price: $19.99 USD Per year
The Entry level Linsider account entitles you to the following:
- 1 year of free downloads of all Linspire downloads including Alpha and Beta releases
- 10% discount on all hardware purchases for 1 year
- Access to Facebook group chat
- Access to Insiders mailing list

Lifetime Linsider Account

The Lifetime Linsider account entitles you to the following:

Developer Linsider
Price: $159.00 USD Per year
The Advanced developer account also allows you to contribute documentation and artwork. This also allows you to submit bugs, open support tickets, and contribute to security errata. For the 12 month period you will get 20% off of a support license and 10% off any hardware. We also provide you with early access to beta releases and release candidates. With the Advanced developer account you can submit kernel code which must be licensed under the GPLv2 and appropriate kernel licenses and agree that your kernel code can be submitted upstream and secures a seat on the Linspire steering committee. You can also submit applications and programs to either be included in the distribution or distributed via the Software Center. All programs must be licensed under the GPLv2 or later, BSD License or the Apache Software License. You must submit ALL source code to PC/OpenSystems LLC for code verification and are subject to the following restrictions:
Any violation will cause your application to be removed from publication and any app that violates privacy laws or performs any illegal function will be reported and submitted to Federal and/or local law enforcement.
Enterprise Developer Linsider
Price: $1,299.99 USD Per year or $5,000.00 Lifetime Commitment
The Enterprise Developer Insider allows you all the benefits of the free, entry and advanced accounts but you also get so much more. With the Enterprise Insider we ship you one free build system the specs are:
We provide you access to contribute code fixes and kernel code. We also provide you with early access to beta releases and release candidates. With the lifetime commitment you can participate in developer conferences, unlimited support subscription services and you can build and distribute your own ISO's. You get two systems and you are allowed to assist in planning and developing future releases.

- Your application cannot point to an alternative site for payment
- Your application cannot, upon installation, download any additional executable apps in the background without you informing us what it does and you must allow the user to halt said download.
- Your application cannot be a rabbit or "stress" program that may bring down, cause a reboot or in any way harm a system.
- Your application must be submitted with a clear name, description, screenshot and a clear price if its a paid for product
- Your application must include ALL source code to where we can build and reproduce to executable. Any incomplete source files will be returned and will delay publication of your app.
- You cannot include any time bombs or time limited applications
- Your application can in now way collect any personal information, transmit personal data nor collect telemetry.
